If you’re dealing with low back pain, you’re not alone. I see it all the time — whether it comes from sitting too long, heavy lifting, poor posture, or even stress. It’s frustrating, especially when it starts interfering with your work, sleep, or daily life.

Here’s the good news: there’s almost always something we can do about it.

Why Your Back Hurts

Most of the time, low back pain comes down to a few common things:

  • Muscle strain from lifting or overdoing it

  • Poor posture, especially at a desk

  • Lack of movement or too much sitting

  • Irritated joints or discs from repetitive bending or twisting

It can also be made worse by stress — mental tension often shows up physically in our backs.

How I Can Help

When you come in, I look at how your whole body moves — not just your back. Sometimes the issue is actually in your hips, your core, or even your upper back.

I use hands-on osteopathic techniques like joint mobilisation, soft tissue work, and manual therapy to help:

  • Reduce pain

  • Improve how you move

  • Get you back to doing what you love

You’ll also leave with a simple, clear plan. That might include:

  • Stretches or strengthening exercises you can do at home

  • Tips for your desk setup or how to move during the day

  • Advice on when to use heat, rest, or keep moving

What You Can Start Doing Now

  • Don’t stay still too long – gentle movement usually helps more than complete rest

  • Use a pillow between your legs when sleeping on your side

  • Watch your posture – especially if you’re on a laptop all day

  • Breathe and manage stress – it matters more than people think

If the pain sticks around or keeps coming back, let’s figure it out together. The sooner we get to the root of it, the faster we can work towards you feeling better.
