Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral for an osteopathy appointment?

No. In Australia, Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners so you do not need a referral from your doctor for osteopathic treatment. Your osteopath is able to refer you to practitioners or for imaging services if required.

How do I make an appointment?

At VIP Osteopathy we are by appointment only. You can make an appointment with us online, or over the phone.

How much does it cost?

New Patient Appointment, 45 minutes - $130

Return Appointment, (standard) 30 minutes- $100

Extended Return Appointment, 45 minutes - $130

Do you accept private health insurance?

Most major health funds include coverage for osteopathy treatments. We offer the convenience of on-the-spot rebates via HICAPS. Please refer to your health policy for specific rebate details.

Is Osteo treatment covered by medicare?

Yes, we accept Chronic Disease Management Plans.

Patients with chronic care needs may be eligible for a referral from their doctor for a medicate rebate on up to 5 osteopathy appointments per calendar year. Please bring all paperwork with you to your appointment. Please note that the consultation fee must be paid in full at the time of the appointment, and the rebate will be reimbursed directly onto your EFTPOS card or into your bank account.

Is there parking available?

Yes. There is a carpark at the rear of the clinic, entering via Arabin Street. There is also ample parking in front of the clinic on the Old Calder Highway Service Road.
